And Let the Adventure Begin...

Our first stop is Albany.  It is a very small town located in the driftless area in Green County.  In Albany we are staying at an old hardware store that has been renovated into a large living space.  I like to call it the ultimate Man Cave.

In the store there are lots of old signs displayed on the walls.  Many of them light up.

There are also a large variety of unusual items hanging on the walls as decorations.
Above is one of three old meters that adorn the bedroom.

Here is an old freezer that has been turned into a stove top island.
The other side houses the microwave.

There are lots of old tools displayed on a counter...

and, this grill from an old car serves as the headboard of our bed.
It's really something.

Albany is located on the Sugar River Trail.
Lance and I got up the second day and decided to hike part of it.
Below are a few of the pictures we took of the trail.

This is one of the bridges that cross the Sugar River.

We saw many signs of fall on our hike.

And...we even saw our first Halloween decorations of the season.
Imagine that!
We're having a great time.  Keep checking for more updates.
We've had a few problems with wifi, but we will do our best to add new posts whenever possible.
