We have spent countless hours over the past few years attending independent and foreign films at our beloved Oriental Theater. It is by far one of our favorite activities. This year, for the film festival we purchased the pass that allows full access to the festival. With the pass you are also allowed early access to get the best seats. Going to the movies gave us the chance to relax and not think about the big move for a couple of hours every day. We saw lots of great movies and stayed for the interesting "talk backs" with film makers, directors, producers and actors that were flown in from all over the world. Thursday is the final day and we will be there to attend the closing movie (we'll be looking for you Joe.) We will miss the Oriental and all the great movies, but we are happy to report that Cuenca holds several film festivals during the year and gets all kinds of current movies (both independent and
wide release) at their theaters.
Just a few photos of the inside of this great movie theater.
